(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 24 - Antonello Giannelli, the head of the Italian Association of School Principals, said Monday that the nation's schools are "working in chaos" because of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and related procedures they have to follow.
"The heads and their assistants are no longer able to deal with school problems because they have to exclusively tackle health problems, at a time when pupils and students need more attention and care," Giannelli said in a statement.
"They are subjected to unprecedented psychological pressure, including from parents, who ask them to deal with the confusion of the procedures and the inertia of the health authorities".
