(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 19 - Antonino Ardizzone, the head of
sport, tourism and entertainment in council executive of
Sicilian town of Palagonia, was arrested by Carabinieri police
on Wednesday for alleged involvement in a homicide.
The case regards the murder of Francesco Calcagno in the town of
Piana di Catania in August 2017.
Ardizzone is accused of acting as a middle men between the
person who wanted Calcagno dead, in order to avenge him having
killed another person, and members of the 'Stidda' mafia in
order to find a hitman. (ANSA).
