(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 17 - A 60-year-old Italian man was
arrested Monday on suspicion of murdering a 22-year-old woman
who went missing in Sicily on June 4, 2012.
The man, Rosario Palermo, is the former live-in partner of the
mother of the woman, Agata Scuto, who went missing from a town
near Catania.
He was caught on a phone tap voicing fear that Scuto's body
might be found, police said.
The man allegedly strangled his victim and burned her body,
police said on the basis of other remarks he made to himself.
Scuto's body has never been found. (ANSA).
