(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 14 - First COVID-19 jabs for the over 50s
have tripled in a week in Italy, after the introduction of
vaccine mandates for this age group, COVID Emergency
Commissioner Francesco Figliuolo said Friday.
Over two million over 50s have had their first dose of the
vaccine in the last seven days, said the COVID czar.
Jabs given to the 5-11 age group, meanwhile, rose by 77% to
356,000 in the last week, said Figliuolo. (ANSA).
