Belgian tourists in drunken row in Italian capital

(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 5 - A 40-year-old Belgian tourist has been arrested on suspicion of biting off a bit of her Belgian partner's tongue in a Rome B&B on Tuesday night, sources said Wednesday.
    The incident allegedly happened at the culmination of a drunken row, sources said.
    The man reportedly called emergency services at around three in the morning saying "My tongue has been cut and a bit of it is in the fridge in the bed and breakfast where I'm staying".
    Police found the fragment of muscle in the fridge and the woman was charged with grievous bodily harm.
    The man was taken to hospital but doctors were unable to reattach the missing part of his tongue. (ANSA).
