Boy shot in Sicily declared brain dead

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 3 - A medical panel at Catania's Garibaldi Centro hospital on Friday declared a 17-year-old boy who was shot in the head in the Sicilian town of Noto on Tuesday to be brain dead.
    The minor was in a car with his family when he was hit by the bullet, sources said. It is not clear if the boy was the intended target.
    His family did not authorize the donation of his organs. (ANSA).
