Rejects appeal against suspension by anti-vax physician

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 2 - The Council of State, Italy's highest administrative court, on Thursday ruled that doctors cannot refuse the COVID vaccine.
With its verdict, the court rejected an appeal from an Abruzzo anti-vax doctor against his suspension for refusing to get the jab.
The man's scientific doubts were "certainly not demonstrated," said the court.
"Health staff, by law and still earlier according to the Hippocratic Oath are supposed to work in all ways to treat the sick and never increase the risk of contagion by the patient", it ruled.
The judges reaffirmed the "primary right to health".
They said there was a "clear prevalence" of scientific data showing the benefits of vaccines. (ANSA).
