(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 30 - Everyone riding electric scooters in
Floremce, including adults, will be obliged to wear a helmet as
of Wednesday, when a order by Mayor Dario Nardella comes into
force.
At the national level, helmets are only obligatory for
electric-scooter riders aged up to 14.
"We are doing this for the safety of the citizens," said
Nardella.
"I hope this measure is respected.
"We have discussed the situation with the commander of the
municipal police.
"We will have dedicated services, with patrols, and obviously we
will take action to make sure the order is respected". (ANSA).
