Afghanistan: New Italian airlift bringing 500 more to Rome

(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 29 - A new Italian airlift is bringing 500 more Afghan refugees to Rome, sources said at the weekend.
    Operation Aquila Omnia-Bis has been set up by the defence ministry.
    Defence Minister Lorenzo Guerini said "last summer's evacuation of Afghan citizens from Kabul was a very complex operation, but eh incessant and silent work of the Italian armed forces has continued in the last few months too.
    "Today's Aquila Omnia-Bis is the result of long team work thanks to the collaboration between the ministries of defence, foreign affairs and the interior and the information services". (ANSA).
