(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 24 - There have been 12,448 new cases of COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, and 85 more victims of the virus, the health ministry said Wednesday.
It is the highest daily case tally since May 1 when there were 12,964 new cases, and he highest daily toll since June 10 when there were 88 more victims.
That compares with 10,047 new cases and 83 more victims Tuesday.
Some 562,505 more tests have been done, compared to 689,280 Tuesday.
The positivity rate is up from 1.4% to 2.2%.
Intensive care cases are up 13 to 573 and hospital admissions up 32 to 4,629. (ANSA).
