(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 28 - One third of Italian pensioners get
less than 1,000 euros a month, social security and pensions
agency INPS said Thursday.
It said over 5.3 million pensioners got less than that amount in
2020.
In 2020, it said it paid out 22.7 million pensions overall for a
total of 307 billion euros, up 2.3% on 2019.
Women's pensions were 27% lower than those of men, INPS said.
