Vaccinated COVID victims usually older, highly fragile - ISS

Average age 85.5 years and five pre-existing conditions

(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 20 - The Higher Health Institute (ISS) said the fully vaccinated people to have died of COVID-19 Italy were generally very old and-or in an extremely delicate state of health.
    It said the average age of the fully vaccinated victims of the coronavirus was 85.5 years, compared to 78.3 for the unvaccinated.
    It said the fully vaccinated victims had an average of five pre-existing conditions, compared to 3.9 for the unvaccinated.
    The data was given in a report that analysed 671 case files from between February 1 and October 5, 2021.
    In that period, 38,096 COVID sufferers died here, including 33,620 unvaccinated people and 1,440 fully vaccinated victims.
