(ANSA) - SASSARI, JUL 16 - A 32-year-old Biella man on
Thursday saw his 30-year term upheld on appeal for killing his
28-year-old fiancée in their Sardinian holiday villa in June
2017.
Dimitri Fricano was again found guilty of stabbing to death
Erika Preti in a villetta at San Teodoro.
He stabbed her 57 times.
The sentence was handed down by an appeals court in Sassari.
Fricano has one level of appeal left, to the supreme Cassation
Court.
The court found it was a "particularly heinous crime". (ANSA).
