78,000 teachers to be hired says Azzolina

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 8 - Some 78,000 teachers will be hired on steady contracts and long-term posts after the current round of competitive exams is over, Education Minister Lucia Azzolina said Wednesday.
    She called it a "great result, able to give stability to a large number of teachers and ensure the continuity of learning".
    She added that she was preparing a request to the economic and finance ministry for a further 80,000 steady hires for the 2020/2021 school year.
    Azzolina also said she had approved COVID sierological tests for all school workers. (ANSA).
