Coronavirus: deaths up by 23, 142 new cases

The overall death toll has risen to 34,767.

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 30 - The heath ministry said Tuesday that Italy has registered 142 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours.
    That is up from 126 new cases on Monday It said 62 cases are in Lombardy, the worst-hit region, accounting for 43.6% of the total.
    Seven regions have no new cases: Marche, Trentino Alto Adige, Puglia, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Abruzzo, Basilicata and Molise.
    It said 23 COVID-19 sufferers have died in the last 24 hours (four in Lombardy), after just six in the whole of Italy Monday.
    The overall death toll has risen to 34,767.
    The number of people to have recovered from he coronavirus here has risen by 1,052 to 190,248.
    The total number of cases, including the deceased, the currently positive and those who have recovered, is now 240,578. (ANSA).
