Redazione Ansa

(ANSAmed) - RABAT, JUNE 25 - The inter-ministerial commission for investments in Morocco has approved 45 projects for a total budget of two billion euros. The commission, chaired by the head of government, Saad Eddine El Otmani, has been charged with relaunching Morocco's economy after the coronavirus emergency. With these new projects, authorities are hoping to create some 8,000 jobs both directly and indirectly. One-third of investments will go to alternative energies; another third to the telecommunications sector and the rest will be divided between trade, tourism, the arts, transport and healthcare. Meanwhile Morocco is dealing with a surge in cases: 563 new coronavirus cases for a total of 10,907; a cluster of 90 asymptomatic cases was discovered at Renault's factory in Tangiers. Rabat and Casablanca are the worst affected areas on the eve of a new phase starting on June 25 during which some areas of the country should partially reopen. (ANSAmed) (ANSA).
