Storms and gales to hit centre and south (4)

(ANSA) - Rome, June 4 - Thunderstorms and high winds will hit central and southern parts on Thursday evening and Friday, forecasters said Thursday.
    Gales will sweep Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata and Calabria on Thursday evening, with high seas sweeping ashore on exposed areas, they said.
    Rainstorms will strike Umbria, Lazio, Campania and the western parts of Abruzzo and Molise Thursday evening, spreading Friday morning to Basilicata, Puglia and Calabria.
    The civil protection department has issued a bad-weather alert.
