Pizza della Loggia witness killed

(ANSA) - Brescia, June 3 - A 59-year-old witness to the 1974 Piazza della Loggia massacre was killed Monday night by a friend who had been hosting him in house arrest since October for beating and stalking his ex-girlfriend.
    Vincenzo Arrigo was killed with a billhook by 53-year-old Bettino Puritani after one of their frequent arguments degenerated into a brawl, police said.
    The crime at Esine near Brescia had nothing to do with the 1974 rightist militant massacre in Brescia in which eight people were killed and 102 injured.
