(ANSA) - Rome, April 9 - The interior ministry on Thursday
sent a directive to prefects to beef up coronavirus lockdown
controls over Easter.
As data have shown the first signs of effectiveness of
containment measures, it said, it is important that these
measures "should be fully operational in view of the upcoming
Easter festivities, traditionally marked by an increase in
traffic flows, in particular on motorways and on the main
connecting extra-urban arteries of our country".
