(ANSA) - Rome, April 8 - The supreme Court of Cassation on
Wednesday upheld an appeal for damages from the three children
of Marianna Manduca, a Naples woman killed by her husband in
2002 despite having reported him 12 times to the police for
domestic violence.
Overturning a lower appeals verdict, the high court granted
the children 259,000 euros in compensation for the State's
failure to protect their mother.
