(ANSA) - Gioia Tauro, November 14 - Carabinieri and finance
police on Thursday seized over a tonne of cocaine in the
southern port of Gioia Tauro.
The narcotics, which would have had a street value of 250
million euros once cut up, were hidden in 144 packs in a
refrigerated container designated to transport bananas.
The container came from South America and was headed to
Germany.
