(ANSA) - Agrigento, May 20 - Prosecutors have put Arturo
Centore, the commander of the Sea-Watch 3 search-and-rescue
ship, under investigation for allegedly aiding illegal
immigration, sources said on Monday.
Investigators have put the vessel under sequester.
At the weekend a group of migrants rescued in the
Mediterranean by the ship was allowed to disembark in Lampedusa
despite Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini's policy of closing
Italy's ports to NGO-run search-and-rescue vessels.
