2 illegal nurseries seized in Prato

(ANSA) - Prato, February 20 - Italian police on Wednesday impounded two illegal nurseries hosting children under three years of age without proper authorisation in the Tuscan city of Prato.
    All the children were Chinese, sources said.
    The nurseries were located in the headquarters of two Chinese cultural associations.
    In one case the children were laid down to sleep in a room without windows and in the other they were made to play in a storeroom, sources said.
    The Chinese owners of the nurseries have been charged on several counts including lack of proper authorisation for preparing food and wrong use of premises.
