(ANSA) - Bologna, February 19 - An elderly woman was sexually
abused twice among widespread mistreatment of the elderly at a
home in the Bologna area, police said Tuesday.
Hidden police cameras caught "chilling images" of the
physical abuse suffered by the inmates of the home at San
Benedetto Val di Sambro in the Bologna Appenines, police said.
Elderly people were beaten, left in the cold, derided and
humiliated, police said.
The home was impounded and the 52-year-old Bolognese owner
arrested on Monday night, police said.
He is accused of sexually abusing a woman twice.
Another three people were placed under house arrest: the
owner's wife and two nurses.
