(ANSA) - Siena, February 18 - A 52-year-old woman from Siena has been arrested and taken to jail by Carabinieri police for allegedly mistreating children aged from six months to three years at a 'nursery' she had set up in her home, sources said Monday.
Carabinieri started investigating after complaints were lodged by two mothers of children at the nursery and one of the woman's former employees.
With the help of secret video cameras, investigators allegedly found evidence that children were hit, causing small injuries, and forced to eat, with their noses closed to make them open their mouths.
