Woman found dead with facial injuries

(ANSA) - Cuneo, January 23 - An Italian woman was found dead with severe facial injuries near Cuneo on Wednesday, police said.
    She was found near the church of San Rocco at Barge, they said.
    Local inhabitants found the body of the woman, whose clothes were torn.
    She was named as Anna Piccato, 70, a former factory worker and a Red Cross volunteer for many years.
    POlice said she may have been hit with an axe or sickle.
