Castelnuovo priest urges humane care

(ANSA) - Rome, January 22 - Father José Manuel Torres of Santa Lucia Church in Castelnuovo di Porto said he will hold a silent march on Tuesday in solidarity with the migrants who were being hosted by the CARA refugee centre there, according to Religious Information Service (SIR).
    The CARA has been ordered to close in compliance with the government's security decree. "We are displeased and worried. We are asking that they not be treated like livestock," he said.
