Snow in Florence, Bologna

Redazione Ansa

(ANSA) - Rome, January 21 - A cold snap is set to hit Italy this week with snow forecast in Florence, Bologna and other cities.
Rome is salting its streets even though there is only a slim chance of snow in the Italian capital.
3bmeteo.com forecaster Edoardo Ferrara said "very bad weather is looming with scattered and heavy showers, some local thunderstorms, snow at low altitudes and winds that may get up to gale force".
The centre and south will take the brunt of the weather while the north will be less affected, he said.
