Funeral-home cartel broken up in Bologna

(ANSA) - Bologna, January 17 - Carabinieri police on Thursday arrested 30 people in a big operation to break up a cartel of two funeral homes that allegedly had the stranglehold on business from the mortuaries of the northern city's two main hospitals, sources said. The police carried out 43 property searches in relation to the probe and seized assets of 13 million euros in an operation involving 300 officers, according to the sources.
