Man confesses to stealing Jesus statue

(ANSA) - Florence, January 16 - A 24-year-old Italian man on Wednesday confessed to stealing a statuette of Jesus from a crib in Florence while drunk on the night of January 4-5.
    "I don't know why I did it," he reportedly told police.
    The statuette has yet to be recovered.
