(ANSA) - Rome, December 18 - ISTAT said in a report on
Tuesday that the number of children in Italy dropping out of
school before completing compulsory education rose in 2017 for
the first time in 10 years.
The national statistics agency said that 24.1% of people aged
between 15 and 29 last year were NEETS - not in education,
employment or training.
Although high, this level was steady with respect to the
previous year.
