(ANSA) - Rome, December 18 - The level of personal
satisfaction among Italian people about their lives has dropped
even though equitable and sustainable well-being has risen in
the country, ISTAT said in a report on Tuesday.
The statistics agency's annual BES report seeks to measure
Italian social progress by examining a wide range of factors,
not just economic ones, taking into account elements such as
work-life balance, inequality and environmental sustainability.
The report said there was progress in work and leisure, with
67% of indicators changing positively, economic prosperity (80%
of indicators up) and research, innovation and creativity (86%).
But over a third of the social-relations indicators were
down, it said.
