(ANSA) - Rome, November 19 - Wintry weather hit Italy Monday
with temperatures below seasonal averages, high winds, and some
snow on high ground.
Three mountain climbers were cut off by snow at high altitude
in Friuli but were later rescued.
There was an alert in Friuli for high winds.
Snow dusted the Alps with some flakes falling also in Aosta.
Schools were closed for bad weather in Sardinia and there was
an orange weather alert in Campania.
