(ANSA) - Caserta, October 22 - Police on Thursday arrested 22
people in Italy and France in connection with what they called a
"huge flow" of fake banknotes from Italy to France.
Italy is the top European producer of counterfeit notes and
France the top country of destination, the police said.
The arrests were made by police from Santa Maria Capua
Vetere near Naples and Nancy in France.
Over a year, several counterfeiting labs were impounded in
the Naples area, police said.
AS well, some 100,000 euros in counterfeit notes were seized.
