(ANSA) - Matera, October 19 - Matera Mayor Raffaello De
Ruggieri on Friday signed a order revoking a ban on the use of
drinking water, the southern city said.
The city had imposed the ban on Friday and closed its schools
after after bacterial levels rose above safe parameters.
The local council said that "the emergency is over" adding
that schools will be open as usual on Saturday.
