(ANSA) - Milan, October 18 - Milan has been hit by an "air
psychosis" as a waste dump blaze which started Sunday on the
city's outskirts continues to spread foul-smelling fumes over
the Lombard capital, sources said Thursday.
Pharmacists near the blaze site said it was no use buying
masks because "they don't protect against dioxin".
The stink reached the iconic Duomo on Wednesday but the air
was clearer in the city centre Thursday.
