Ilaria Cucchi to meet Trenta, Nistri Wed

(ANSA) - Rome, October 15 - Ilaria Cucchi, sister of a Roman draughtsman who died after an alleged beating by Carabinieri in 2009, will meet Wednesday with Defence Minister Elisabetta Trenta and the commander of the paramilitary corps, General Giovanni Nistri, defence ministry sources told ANSA Monday.
    "The meeting was strongly desired by Minister Trenta and will take place at the ministry, they said.
    A number of Carabinieri are on trial for the suspected manslaughter and last week saw a breakthrough in the case when one indicted Carabiniere incriminated another two.
