(ANSA) - Rome, October 12 - Two people have been placed
under investigation in connection with the August 30 collapse of
the roof of a church in the Roman forum that stands on the
ancient Mamertine Prison, judicial sources said Friday.
Stefano Di Stefano e Gaetano Correra, owners of the firm that
won a contract in 2015 to renovate the roof of the Church of San
Giuseppe dei Falegnami, were placed under investigation on
suspicion of culpable disaster.
No one was hurt in the collapse because the church, which is
only opened at the weekend for weddings, was closed.
