(ANSA) - Palermo, October 10 - Former Sicilian regional
deputy Raffaele Nicotra was arrested on charges of vote buying
with the mafia on Wednesday.
Nicotra is also the former mayor of Aci Catena near Catania.
The arrest took place in an operation against Catania's
Santapaola clan in which 18 suspected clan members were
arrested.
