(ANSA) - Catanzaro, October 9 - Former Calabria transparency
and anti-corruption chief Maria Gabriella Rizzo was arrested on
Tuesday in a probe into alleged corruption and false
representation, judicial sources said.
Rizzo, 57, now head of the regional government's tourism,
heritage and entertainment department, was arrested along with a
tourism-sector entrepreneur from Vibo Vakentia, Laura Miceli,
67.
Police said the director tipped off the businesswoman on
unpublished tenders and also furnished unauthorized consultancy
work.
