(ANSA) - Florence, September 19 - A 34-year-old man accused
of stabbing his one-year-old son to death and attempting to kill
his daughter and partner tried to jump off an overhead walkway
at the Florence courthouse on Wednesday.
Police were escorting the man to a hearing scheduling his
son's autopsy, but the man managed to escape custody and
attempted to jump from the walkway.
The officers caught up with him and stopped him, and he was
taken back to jail.
The hearing went on as planned, with the child's autopsy
scheduled for Thursday.
