(ANSA) - Siena, April 4 - Part of the medieval walls
surrounding San Gimignano fell down on Tuesday but no one was
hurt.
Tuscany Governor Enrico Rossi on Wednesday declared a state
of emergency and vowed fresh resources to keep up the "town of
fine towers", one of Italy's best-known gems.
The culture ministry allocated 300,000 euros for repairs.
