(ANSA) - Savona, January 8 - Schools were closed in six
municipalities around Savona after a fire at a waste recycling
plant in the area on Sunday and Monday.
Police suspect arson in the blaze at Cairo Mezzanotte, which
has spurred fears of an environmental emergency.
The fire, which raised meters-high flames and a tall plume of
black smoke, has now been tamed, fire service sources said
Monday.
