I don't rejoice or forgive-Maria Falcone

Riina takes secrets to grave - Borsellino's brother

(ANSA) - Palermo, November 17 - Maria Falcone, the sister of slain anti-mafia magistrate Giovanni Falcone, said Friday that she took no pleasure from the death of Totò Riina. "I don't rejoice for his death, but I cannot forgive him (either)," Maria Falcone told ANSA.
"My religion teaches me that I could have forgiven him if he had repented, but not sign of atonement ever came". Falcone was murdered in a mafia bombing campaign in 1992 that also claimed the life of his friend and fellow anti-mafia magistrate Paolo Borsellino. Borsellino's brother said that many people who secretly had links to Cosa Nostra will be relieved that Riina has died without ever cooperating with the State. "Many people will be celebrating the fact that, by dying, Riina can no longer talk," Salvatore Borsellino said.
"Another safe (containing secrets) has gone missing after the real one that disappeared after he was captured".
