Taxi strike across Italy November 7 (3)

(ANSA) - Rome, October 6 - Italian taxi drivers will stage a nationwide strike on November 7 to protest the "unkept promises" of the transport ministry, unions said. Taxi drivers have largely won a battle against car-hailing app Uber but are still unhappy about wages and conditions. Unions said the drivers were angry about the "de facto" deregulation of the sector.
