(ANSA) - Trieste, May 8 - A 16-year-old suspected of
abandoning a newborn baby girl after giving birth to her is in
Trieste's Burlo Garofolo hospital, the hospital said on Monday.
The abandoned baby died late on Sunday in intensive care
after being discovered around 1.30 pm local time by a woman out
walking her dogs in an apartment building's garden.
The 16-year-old girl went to the hospital's emergency room
with complications linked to the birth on Sunday.
The suspect reportedly lives with her family in the
residential complex where the baby was found.
