Migrant widower arrives with newborn (2)

(ANSA) - Palermo, May 8 - A Syrian migrant whose wife died in childbirth on a Libyan beach Sunday has arrived with his newborn son on the Italian island of Lampedusa, rescue sources said Monday. The father and baby were rescued by the NGO Open Arms and transferred with some 300 others onto a Medecins Sans Frontieres ship, the Prudence, sources said.
