Smog-hit Turin stops many diesel cars

(ANSA) - Turin, February 20 - Turin on Monday banned around 100,000 vehicles, mostly diesel engine cars with Euro 4 emission standard or inferior, from taking to the roads for most of the day due to high smog levels.
    The ban follows the introduction of new stricter anti-pollution regulations in the northern city.
    It was triggered by pollution levels being over the accepted level for seven consecutive days.
