(ANSA) - Rome, December 2 - A homeless man accused of killing
American student Beau Solomon by pushing him into the River
Tiber in Rome on the night between June 30 and July 1 is to be
released from jail, a judge ruled on Friday. Prosecutors had
opposed the request from the defence team of Massimo Galioto.
Solomon, a promising young American football college player at
the University of Wisconsin, died a few hours after arriving in
Rome and spending the night in one of the Italian capital's
pubs.
