(ANSA) - Lucca, October 28 - Overweight refuse collectors in
three towns in the chic Tuscan resort area of Versilia have been
put on a diet because of the alleged risk of work accidents, La
Nazione daily reported Friday.
The local trash collection company ERSU has ordered a sixth
of its 220 workers to get their weight down or face sanctions,
the daily reported.
The dustbin men and women work in the towns of Pietrasanta,
Seravezza and the famed upscale resort of Forte dei Marmi.
